Every room is a delight of bespoke joinery and high quality fittings. Built in 1793 and in the centre of Gunnerside Village, this cottage is an ideal base to explore and enjoy all the Yorkshire Dales has to offer. The sound of the river welcomes you as you step though the front door, but all is tranquil inside.

Hawes .16 th C Elizabethan enchanting Cottage.

The 16 century cottage has been in my husbands family since Elizabethan times . It has a private south facing garden .Beautifully furnished with antique furniture It’s a truly magical little cottage and feels like you have stepped back in time . A deep bath . Log burning stove . Period furniture . What’s not to like. Situated just outside Hawes a 5 minute walk ! Or walk over the field in less time . River walks from the door step . And if you’re lucky you might see the red squirrel’s .

The House on the Hill sits close by St. Margaret's Church in Hawes, at the head of beautiful Wensleydale. This traditional, stone built cottage has been carefully modernised and provides attractive and comfortable accommodation. This is such a characterful property and is ideally located in the heart of Hawes. Free parking in the communal spaces on The Hill or in the village close by. We are approximately 200 yards from the centre of Hawes and only 30 seconds walk to the nearest pub!
