Chill on the cozy corner sofa while admiring the towering trees in this bright, inspiring hideaway. Spin a record, snuggle up for a movie night, or enjoy the cozy queen-bed nook with a favorite novel. Follow your culinary inspirations and cook a delicious meal with fireside dessert, or venture out for a neighborhood walk to nearby College Avenue for shopping, restaurants, and fun. Be it relaxing or entertaining, Mimi's Place offers you the best of both worlds...a peaceful getaway in one of the East Bay's favorite neighborhoods within walking distance to urban conveniences. Please note: the unit is a private guesthouse accessed up one flight of stairs. A mobile laundry service is available, but the unit does not have a washer/dryer. The space is open yet cosy and the windows look out to trees and hills in the neighborhood. It feels far removed from the city yet you are walking distance from the adorable Elmwood neighborhood of Berkeley. We have a full kitchen with new appliances, wi-fi, a smart TV, and plenty of built-in storage for your belongings if you are staying for a longer visit. You have access to the entire unit as it is separate from our house and located in the front of the property. I love to meet our guests, but generally we are running different directions so only see each other upon arrival and in passing. I am always available by phone though! This one of the oldest neighborhoods in Berkeley, with established trees and gorgeous walks in the nearby hills and easy access to nearby Elmwood stores. It feels far removed from city life, but Berkeley and Oakland are still within easy reach. You probably want a car (parking is very easy in our neighborhood which is not the norm in Berkeley) or plan to take Lyft. Bart is a 15 minute walk from our house, and there is a bus route that picks up at the bottom of our street. If you are visiting Cal, the bus takes you there easily.

Chill Urban Oasis at the Calmpound!

A lovely one-bedroom, 2 bed house in a beautiful tropical garden setting near the Bay and a mile from Cal. Truly and urban oasis in the middle of the city. We have some of the best weather in the country and create wonderful outdoor spaces to enjoy it. We live next door. Excellent walking neighborhood with easy public transit. The cottage is minutes from downtown SF (only 12 miles drive.) Long term guest are the best, so feel free to inquire. House accommodates two comfortably... Come chill!

Beautiful modern home, quiet, peaceful & has beautiful views of the trees and hillside. You’ll love my place because of the large king size bed, large open spaces & private balcony. My place is perfect for everyone whether on vacation or business. Cute, very quiet, private studio in-law with separate bedroom space, kitchen and private bathroom with shower (no tub). 415 Sq Ft. There is one queen bed in the bedroom and a full size pull out bed in the sofa (perfect for small kids). Apartment also has a small, private back yard area - great for those with small pets. Views of Golden Gate Bridge and much of the Bay Area visible from just outside your door. Tilden Park is just a few minutes drive from the property.
