Enchanting Woodsy Getaway: Cozy Cabin

Cozy Cabin in Hvalfjörður (Whale fjord). A great spot to enjoy nature and the beautiful northern lights, still close to the city and all major attractions in south-west Iceland. The cabin is located in the north of Hvalfjörður in the hill Fornistekkur, facing the south with beautiful surroundings and Mt Brekkukambur at the back. In the cabin you'll be able to enjoy the quiet nature close to some of the main attractions and still reach Reykjavík in only 40-50 minutes. Close by you will find great hiking trails, for example to the second highest waterfall in Iceland Glymur, mere 10-15 minute drive away, to Síldarmannagötur and Mt Þyrill 5-8 min away. Hvammsvík's Hot Springs are just on the other side of the fjord, approx 20 min drive and guests in my cabin will get 15% discount there. Þingvellir national park is within an hour away and from there you can visit the Geysir and the Golden Circle among others in the south. In the west there are many wonderful attractions like Snæfellsjökull glacier, located at the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The Peninsula is loaded with many attactions, like Arnarstapi, Djúpalónsandur, Hellnar, Kirkjuflell (the most photographed mountain in Iceland) and so on. In a walking distance from the cabin you might be able to pay a visit to our friendly Icelandic horses or have a walk on the beach where you might see seals. During winter (when it's dark) you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the northern lights, just outside in the hot tub or on the patio. Take it easy at this peaceful getaway, nestled in fairytale-like surroundings with great views. Located only a 50 minute drive north from Reykjavík, this cozy cabin serves as a perfect base to discover all the south-west and west of Iceland. Relax by the fireplace after a day of adventure or have a refreshing time in the hot tub in the midnight sun with the birds chirping, or with the northern lights dancing in the sky. The area offers great hiking trails with stunning scenery.

Stylish cottage with hot tub and stunning view

Our 78 square meter 1 bedroom cottage is located 50 minutes drive from Reykjavik. The cottage is luxurious and has an outdoor natural water hot tub from where you can enjoy the Northern Lights or the fantastic sunset. The living area and the balcony have a spectacular view overlooking the fjord and surrounding mountains. The cottage is a great base for day tours in the south or west of Iceland. Gullfoss, Geysir, Thingvellir and Snæfells glacier are all within 1-2 hours’ drive.

Cabin by mountains

Our Cabin by mountains is a well located and beautifully decorated holiday house in the area Ölver. The cabin is surrounded trees but from the sundeck you have a beautyful view to the glacier Snæfellsjökull where you can see the amazing sunset, and dont forget the Northen Lights. The cabin is close to the village Borgarnes in West Iceland and has a perfect location for day tours in West and South Iceland. The 50 sqm terrace has garden furniture and has trees all around.

The hot tub on the patio is the ultimate way to let everyday life dissolve into the horizon. Embraced by the purest of nature, you may encounter some of the wildlife in the area, such as an eagle, owl, seal, whale or even fox. A northern lights dance show is also very common in the winter time. Plenty of attractions in the area.

Stínukot. Nýtt smáhýsi nálægt Reykjavík.

Nýbyggt smáhýsi nálægt hinu fallega og eftirsótta Meðalfellsvatni. Staðsett í Kjós nálægt Hvalfirði eða í 20 mínútna keyrslu frá Þingvöllum og 30 mínútna keyrslu frá Reykjavík. Einnig aðeins 15 mínútna keyrsla að Hvammsvík hot spring. Hér færðu sveitasælu í íslenskri náttúrufegurð en ert samt örstutt frá miðborginni og gullna hringnum. Fullkomin staðsetning. Rafmagn, heitt og kalt vatn og hiti í gólfinu er í húsinu.

If you want to enjoy life in a peaceful setting, surrounded by nature and stunning views - then Brekka is the place for you. Our cabin is at the top of the hill, so you'll have absolute privacy. -Northern light paradise- There is no better place to enjoy the dance of the northern lights than in our cabin, in the hot tub or simply sitting on the porch surrounded by darkness and nobody around to disturb the show.

Hvalfjarðarsveit Cottage with Mountain view

It's located in West Iceland with a view over Lake Eiðisvatn, the Hvalfjörður and the spectacular mountains around the fjord. Behind the small village of Melahverfi, which is signposted on the ringroad. Akranes is around 15 minutes away. In autumn and winter, this is also a good place to watch the Northern Lights. Although the view is wonderful, you can't help but see an aluminium plant a few kilometres away.
