Welcome to 'Tales of 1943' A property where 3-generations of my family were raised and today has been converted & renovated with modern and stylish interiors and amenities for you to experience. Located in the heart of Shillong city, this independent Assam-type home has been around for more than 80 years and is perfect for anyone looking for an escape. With timber-framed walls, slanting roofs, wooden floors, and a cozy fireplace in each room, this home is the perfect encapsulation of Shillong.

The room is spacious (16x14) with attached bath and a kitchen. It is well equipped with a smart TV, Wi-Fi, geyser and other basic amenities. Parking is available within the compound. The pool is a rainwaterharvesting unit and fresh water may not be available/feasible for swimming purposes all the time!

Located about 5 kms fr main city, guests can enjoy their stay in a place a little away from town which is easily accessible by 4 or 2 wheeler. Guests have absolute privacy as only one home is located in the property. To make their visit more adventurous, guests can explore scenic places of their choice on Cycles or E-Cycles which can be rented out fr this facility
