Heron’s Rest. Waterside cottage on Exmoor.Heron’s Rest sits directly on the banks of the East Lyn river in the small hamlet of Rockford. The cottage is directly opposite the 17th century Rockford Inn, a characterful Exmoor pub/hotel. Current Covid restrictions are dictating the operating hours of this Inn, but in normal circumstances it would be open for lunchtime and evening meals. One mile up the river is another fine Exmoor Inn, The Staghunters. The cottage has direct access on to The Coleridge Way, and many other footpaths.
