Greek Revival Farmhouse

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Pierce Farmhouse was built in 1870 as a wedding gift for a son. We have owned it for 20 years and have made another set of renovations to bring it back to its original charm and character while making it more comfortable with modern amenities. The farmhouse sits on 60 wooded acres in High Shoals and guests have access to our pond for fishing and river for canoeing. We are 20 minutes from Athens, and 15 minutes from Monroe and Madison.

You aren't a “cookie-cutter hotel” and “fight the crowds” kind of person. We’re with you. You want something more personal. We welcome you to our home, City Farm 25. We prefer unique places with character that feel homey. Our little slice of paradise in downtown Watkinsville is just that. The property is a cozy log cabin. You have the building to yourself. The home, built in 1936, has large rooms with 10 ft. ceilings and a kitchen that can accommodate any size group. The home sits on 5 acres with an outdoor fireplace, bocce ball courts, a sizeable outdoor patio, and plenty of space to spread out or gather, inside and outdoors. Only a 10 min Uber/ Lyft ride to downtown restaurants, bars, the Botanical Gardens, and the stadium.

The Nest, Charming Country Setting south of Athens

This guest suite is located above the detached three car garage across from the main house. Beautiful views of the countryside, including horses and chickens! Sanford Stadium and beautiful downtown Athens are just 14 miles north of us (a 22 minute drive). Historic Madison is 19 miles to the south of us. You are welcome to fish or kayak on our pond as well.
