Treat yourself to retreat and get away to this secluded piece of heaven on earth in a cabin snugged into the national forest in a rural area. Enjoy peace, and quiet. This is absolutely a hidden haven of heaven on Earth. Being in the Hoosier National Forest, we are situated in a recreational region that features many outdoor activities and offerings for nature lovers to explore and enjoy.

This is a place that is just too wonderful not to share. We call it Rise above and it sits on a rise above the majestic and mighty Ohio river. If you are trying to find a quiet place and get off grid for a while...this, is it! You can sit on the deck and watch barges right in your backyard. There is abundant wildlife and eagles frequent this area so keep watch and have your camera ready. The area is known as Magnet. It will draw you back time and time again. This is indeed God's country!

Hickory Hill Cabin

This cabin is a three story 6 bedrm (sleeps 20 with owner approval) and 3 full baths. Originally built in the early 1800′s, logs were refurbished and rebuilt in Derby overlooking the Ohio River. Features include 2 large covered porches with swings, tables, chairs, and an 8 person hot tub. Large kitchen and living room with beautiful working wood fireplace. Great for entertainment with a pool table and basketball. There is also a shelter house on the riverbank with a dock for fishing or boating.

The Heron's Nest

The “Heron’s nest” is Four stories tall, with FOUR Bedrooms, THREE Full Bathrooms. Eight person dining room table, Full Bath , Living room with WI-FI, flat TV & DVD player, plus a large bedroom with a King sized Bed. Going upstairs, the Loft bedroom has a King sized Bed and Full Bath. Down stairs to the lowest level walk out basement, there is a third bedroom with a Queen Bed a Fourth Bedroom with a Queen bed, TV. Hot Tub $45. Pet $45 per pet per night. Visitors (not overnight) are $10 each.

Sleeping up to eight, this cabin is ready to entertain a houseful of family and friends. You have the option of just settling in or visiting one of the areas many attractions. The choices are endless. Big Sky Farm cabin is a custom designed 3,200 sf timber frame barn finished as our rural sanctuary tucked into 87 acres in the hills of southern Indiana. We are located about a 15-minute drive north of Tell CIty, IN and conveniently located within a reasonable drive to Holiday World Amusement Park, Matilda's Event Barn, Patoka Lake, and French Lick Resort amongst other local attractions.
