Spacious 2400 square foot home sits on over 5 acres of land steps from the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounded by another 30+ undeveloped acres. Visit local wineries, hike local parks, or just come to relax. You will not want to leave the Serenity.

On 5 secluded acres and being surrounded by Stone Mountain State Park and dozens of undeveloped private acres, your only neighbors are the wildlife. Gather friends and family and sit quietly on the deck. You could encounter Deer and Turkey and other wildlife as they stroll past. Or walk down the private roads up in to the woods and observe wildlife you won't encounter in the city. And yes there has been the occasional Bear siting. But remember they are more afraid of you than you are of them. So the woods are yours. Explore all of the acreage available to you or just sit on the deck and enjoy the peace and quiet or watch one of the nearly 200 DVD's provided or watch a movie on the 55 inch HDTV with free cable TV, NETFLIX and Amazon Prime. The entertainment possibilities are endless.

Set on the Continental Divide just steps away from the Blue Ridge Parkway, this home was built to accommodate two golf foursomes. Since we live so far away we have a hard time getting up to NC so we have decided to open our doors to you. We hope you will enjoy the peace and quiet of mountain life as we do and enjoy the deer, turkey and other wildlife as they stroll by the house. We have also seen Bear on a game camera behind the house. We have our family gatherings at this house as we are all spread out throughout the southeast. This house is large enough for us all to get together and we fill it up too. We get out the air mattresses and as I mentioned, we have even pitched tents on the deck to accommodate everyone. I go bicycle riding and running on the Parkway. Some of us go hiking, kayaking, golfing and antiquing, and we all love wine tasting and cocktail hour on the deck with a good corn hole contest. We love the house so much we couldn't keep from inviting you to enjoy it too. The photo you see is actually my son and nephew at a waterfall at Rich Mountain Creek below the house in Stone Mountain State Park. The house is surrounded by the Park. If you are in good physical condition and an excellent hiker you can hike down too. Steve

Our only contact with guests will be through AIRBNB and personal email once the house is reserved. We will provide all the information you need for your stay and we provide the code to a lock box approximately 2 weeks prior to your visit. We also ask that you sign our guest book in the house to let us and everyone else know just how much fun you have had a Rocky Acres Retreat. We do have a local property manager in case you have a special request.
