I grew up in China but I lived in Bay Area for almost half my life. I first came to Berkeley to work for a small research institute -- we set out to build a computer on bacteria using money from tobacco industry. That's a really long shot. :-) I never saw that bacteria, and in 2000 I went to work for Netscape to help build a web email system very similar to today's G mail. Later I worked for Amazon to launch Amazon Music and worked for Yelp to develop tools for business owners. Bay Area offers so many opportunities and potential to touch other's lives -- AirBnb is another good one!
I like travel. My top 3 destinations are Greece, Japan, and Turkey.
My weekend hobbies include looking up nice restaurants from Yelp and trying out them. <3
