Tracy is genuinely the sweetest host with so much hospitality. Her home is absolutely immaculate and has so many unique and traditional victorian touches to it. This airbnb is every bit of a "home away from home",, clean, comfortable, modern and traditional are the first words that come to mind. My husband and I enjoy making meals together in the beautiful kitchen that is updated with top of the line appliances and fully furnished with every cooking accessory that you can imagine. I have 3 children that enjoy watching the deers every morning, playing outside everyday is always a new adventure for them and it is an experience that we will appreciate and remember forever. The area is absolutely beautiful, safe, secluded, organic, and the people are very friendly. I give tracy and her home a 10 out of 10 and I will ALWAYS use this home as my first option for renting an airbnb in humboldt county.

My two children and I greatly enjoyed staying here! The cottage was charmingly decorated, and well located (about 10 minutes walk to downtown Ferndale). The location is just minutes from the Humboldt Fair too. The check-in went smoothly, with someone even greeting us upon our arrival. The home is also a great base for discovering the Lost Coast and exploring redwoods.

The cabin was great! Overall a wonderful experience in the cabin and Ferndale. It was December when we stayed, and it got a little cold at times- there is a medium-sized space heater and small electric fireplace in the cabin for heat, so we had to keep them on quite a lot to keep it somewhat warm inside. The kitchenette is very useful- as others have said, there is a small hotplate and microwave provided. The cabin also includes dishes, a couple pots and pans, silverware, and cooking tools. The tap water is clean and doesn't have a weird taste, so it's just fine to drink. There is a small fridge that is a little bigger than a dorm fridge, and it works well. The bathroom is clean and includes a stand-up shower, and Tracy has provided extra shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body wash in case you forget yours. Towels and washcloths are also provided. The water pressure was just fine in the shower, and in the kitchen and bathroom faucets. It takes a bit to warm up, but not a problem. In the pictures, it's hard to tell what exactly the set-up of the cabin is, especially the bed area. The cabin is like a studio apartment, with a separate bathroom with a pocket door. The bed is tucked into a little nook in the corner of the cabin and partially separated from the main area by a wicker screen. There is a large sliding glass door that was blocked off when I was there by an ironing board. There are no curtains on it, but it looks out into a field and there are no neighbors on that side, so you don't have to worry about privacy. There is one door into and out of the cabin that is not difficult to use at all. The cabin is accessed by rounding a garage walking on grass and then walking on a stone path, and finally climbing a few stairs onto a wooden deck, so it probably wouldn't be handicap-friendly for use with a wheelchair or walker. The cabin features vaulted ceilings and a skylight, which was great for light during the day. The only downside to this is that there were quite a few spiders living up in the skylight that were very difficult to eradicate. But, if you're used to Humboldt county, bugs are the norm, so if you can handle spiders on the ceiling and in the skylight, it shouldn't be a problem. The views and atmosphere were great. In the mornings we often saw cows walk by in the field outside the sliding glass door, and on many occasions we were visited in the yard by families of deer. Even when there was no wildlife around, the views of the fields and trees were great, and there is a small stream that runs behind a small fence between the cabin and the field that is nice to listen to and peek at. Ferndale is a...
