Our property is a sprawling 5,500 sq. ft. adobe home in the Corrales bosque; a fertile area near the Rio Grande. There is a front courtyard shared entrance to the oldest wing of the building, dating to the late 1800s. The comfortable guest bedroom features a queen bed, HDTV, stereo, coffee service and mini-fridge. Private bathroom is steps away. The rate of $49 includes all state and local taxes.

Le logement

The guest bedroom is part of the original property, built as an adobe sod with 18-inch walls. Previously known as the Serenity Gardens Spa, it's a quiet, peaceful space with plenty of parking with a labyrinth in the backyard for quiet contemplation. The village of Corrales features four award-winning wineries within 4 miles of our property and excellent restaurants. The building is less than 5 miles from the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Park and offers an easy commute even on the busiest of balloon event days. From our courtyard you can often see, and sometimes converse with, balloon pilots who waft over the Corrales area and often land nearby.

Accès des voyageurs

Access to the guest bedroom is through the front courtyard. The turquoise door to the left is the shared entrance. It is shared with a second Airbnb listing of a kitchenette suite (Old Corrales Suite). Weather permitting guests can dine outside in the courtyard at a bistro table. The rear courtyard is used for larger parties which we can host. Contact us if you'd like to use the space for a party or special event.

This place was relaxing. It has a very nice, private, yard to relax in and unwind. Jim is a friendly guy who was very helpful. Bed is so comfortable and spacious. Room and bathroom was also very clean. Maybe bring a nightlight because it's dark in the room, also, we had to leave the bathroom light on because there also was no nightlight in there. Jim was a gracious host by providing coffee and zucchini bread to us and the bread was delicious! Well worth the cost. I wanted to stay more than one night because of all mentioned in this review.

Jim & Barbara's home is a great example of how an AirBnB can work. They both were great hosts throughout our stay. They couldn't have been more friendly hosts, since they were very accommodating, and made sure we knew that we were welcome in their home during our stay. We got it all: fascinating locality, great room with wake-up croissants, and a wonderful king size bed. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting a stay in the general Albequerque area - especially as a long stay . Their location made it easy to see different parts of northern NM, the neighborhood was nice, plus we weren't too far away from good food or shopping. The house and lot was spacious, unique, clean, and had a positive atmosphere. It was very quiet thanks to the adobe walls, even with people coming and going. They really takes pride in their place: all the rooms were very clean. Our shared room/suite was nicer in person than the pictures and the linens very comfortable over the bed for cool summer sleeping. The private full bathroom with everything we needed was another treat with all its artwork. Their old adobe interconnected building is so charming as well! Walking around it gave me the feeling of going back 100 years when the area was so much different - like the Rio Grande's bosque must have been too . . .

Jim was great and had delicious coffee ready for us in the morning! It's a little confusing to get to but the GPS just has you go into the driveway that's right before Jims driveway, Jim let us know this before we got there so it wasn't an issue. He has many great suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. We went to Las Ristras which was about a mile away great food and fantastic service!

Glad you got my caution about GPS directing you to Dancing Horse Lane. GPS is much better at streets than driveway entries. We will add even more signage to make sure our guests can find us with ease. It was a delight having you both here and I hope we link up again soon. Best to you and Tyler.

Jim's place was a bit hard to find, but with a quick text we found ourselves in a very nice room. We had a television with cable, great king sized bed, and bath across the hall. The next morning early, Jim delivered delicious croissants and coffee. I would recommend staying there for anyone looking for a place to spend the night.

I'm adding more signage since GPS, relentlessly directs my guests to the street next to our driveway. That is why I so appreciate guests texting or calling when they are not sure where we are; even though it's a big property. Glad you enjoyed the coffee & croissants; it's our way of letting our guests know they are special.

Another great stay with Jim! Corrales is a bit out of town, but that was quite pleasant. Small town atmosphere but sophisticated local restaurants. Jim's recommendations were spot on.
