Located on the border of Massachusetts and Connecticut with a spectacular view of the Berkshire Hills and fifteen minutes drive from Great Barrington, MA, this private apartment sits above a working artist's studio on a secluded seven-acre property. Owners are active gardeners and live in an adjacent house surrounded by beautiful gardens. With a private entrance, this newly renovated one bedroom apartment is private, light and airy with a contemporary and eclectic decor.

We are an environmentally sensitive couple who live and work on this property and are excited to share this special location with others. The apartment sits above a working artist's studio space. The studio is in operation between 9 am - 5 pm weekdays and occasionally on the weekend. There is some noise associated with the studio operation but owners are sensitive to guest needs.

Elisabeth’s place is gorgeous - she and Ricky are some of the warmest, most accommodating hosts and you can tell how much they care about the land, their visitors, and their space. The eggs, veggies, and other breakfast food waiting for us when we got in was delicious (and much of it comes straight from their own land), the space is gorgeous and plenty large enough for two, and they’re quick to help you navigate the area. A lovely time.

This cottage nestled in the hills of Sheffield is perfection. Every amenity has been thought of including a well-stocked refrigerator with fresh eggs from the owner's hens. The setting is glorious and the interior of the house is impeccable. Elisabeth and Ricky were terrific hosts and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We look forward to returning.
