We take pride in creating a CLEAN and comfy place for you to call home during your stay- whether for a few days or months. You'll find lots of sunlight, fresh paint, wood & tile floors, and a well-stocked kitchen and bathroom. The furnishings are comfortable with colorful patterns and textures. Everything in the home is available for your use. You'll find us close to Bethel Church, the River Trail, Turtle Bay Park, Civic Center and Downtown Redding. It's ideal for couples, friends and singles.
Upon entering, we often hear people comment on the peaceful atmosphere in the home, thus the name Shiloh House. Shiloh means peace, tranquility and rest in the Hebrew language.
The house is a cozy 2 bedroom, 900+ sf bungalow built in the 1940's. It has all the charm of homes built in that era- wood floors, coved ceilings and plaster walls. This is what we love about the home! While we have made some updates such as new kitchen counters and a Talavera tile backsplash, it is not a brand-new home so there will be little quirks that go with a home of this age (a floor board that squeaks, a kitchen cabinet that sticks a little bit, etc). This might be obvious but just want to mention it so that guests understand.
We hope that whatever the reason for your visit, that you come away refreshed and encouraged!

Hi! I am a homeschooling mom and art teacher. I refresh myself by spending time soaking up the sunshine lakeside or poolside. I also love time outside hiking, riding my bike along the trails and gardening. I currently live in Bend, Oregon but lived most of my life in California. I am very fond of California's beautiful Spanish architecture and historic missions. I have been coming to Redding regularly for many years to find refreshment and inspiration at Bethel Church and the spectacular outdoors. Whatever your reason for visiting this great city, I hope you find all that you've come for and that you find my home peaceful and comfortable!
