PETS are NOT permitted in rental units due to allergies.

RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD: Inn on High Street is a studio in a residential neighborhood. The Noise Ordinance requires the premises to be quiet at 11PM. There are NO LOUD PARTIES allowed at the studio. If there is an excessive amount of guests, these guests will be asked to leave the studio. The owners reserve the right to call the police should excessive disturbance occurs. There is also No Trespassing into the yards of neighbors.

VISITORS: Visitors are allowed, but please check with owners if they are going to stay over night.

DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT - A reservation deposit is not currently required for this reservation. However, this requirement may change, in the future, to a $40 damage insurance policy covering $1500 in damages. Should the damage fee be required, this must be received within five (5) days of booking the reservation. The $40 damage insurance policy deposit is NOT applied toward rent; and is not refundable. The insurance policy will cover the following to $1500:

•Damage that is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear must be paid for by the Guests if renters insurance is not purchased.

PAYMENT –The BALANCE OF RENT is one week (7 days) prior to arrival,

CANCELLATIONS – A 7 day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 7 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – The maximum number of guests is limited to six (6) persons, 4 adults maximum.

MINIMUM STAY – This property requires a two (2) night minimum stay. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than two days, the guest will be charged the two-night rate.

INCLUSIVE FEES – Rates include a one-time linen & towel setup. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate.

NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. For stays over 4 days, towel laundry is available. Beach towels and rags are provided upon request. We do not permit bath towels or linens to be taken from the units or used to wipe skis, boots, etc in the winter or summer.

RATE CHANGES – Rates subject to change without notice.

FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in.

WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.

PARKING – Parking is limited two (2) vehicles on the right half of the parking pad. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on the road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.

HEATING– The studio is heated by a vented, gas-fired stove. Please DO NOT HANG CLOTHING ON THE STOVE or pile any paper or other combustible materials on or near the gas stove

WATER AND SEWER: DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. Feminine products should not be flushed down the toilet at anytime. All feminine products should be placed in the bathroom trash. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the system, you could be charged damages of up to two hundred dollars ($200).

STORM POLICY/ROAD CONDITIONS – No refunds will be given for storms unless Interstate 80 is closed due to snowy weather. Mountain roads can be curvy, steep and slippery. Roads are well maintained; however, we highly recommend either a four wheel drive and/or carrying chains during the winter snow months since they can be required. We do not refund due to adverse road conditions.

TRAVEL INSURANCE - We highly recommend all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during winter months.

ACCIDENTS/ILLNESS/LOSS OF PERSONAL ITEMS ON PREMISES - This studio unit is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

Lisa and Dean's place was awesome. We went to Tahoe to ski, but unfortunately, there were no snow, but the place was very nicely located to just quickly walk to Truckee to hang out and for food. Great place, will definitely go back

Very easy and convenient vacation stay. Easily walkable to downtown Truckee and close to the highway to get to ski resorts, etc around Tahoe. Highly recommended!

Great place for a small group or couple. Good location for getting to Truckee restaurants without using a car.

Great, affordable studio! It's clean and nicely outfitted with a comfy bed and couches, wifi, and nice toiletries. The room is big and it's walking distance to downtown Truckee. Only downsides are that there is very limited natural light because it's a basement and the only windows open directly on the street, so you have to close the curtains to have any privacy at all, and that you can sometimes hear the footsteps/creaky floorboards of the hosts upstairs. But unless you're planning to spend a lot of time just hanging out in the studio, those issues are not much of a problem. For the price, I would recommend :)

We are sorry that you were not able to use the 2 movable, 6 foot tall Japanese shoji screens that we have in the studio to move around the room for more privacy and more light than closing the curtains. We have also installed mirrors along both side walls to bring light to the back of the room. We also painted the walls a nice warm cream color. Unfortunately, yes, our 100+ year old house has original wood floors that are a little creaky! We very much appreciated your stay with us and wish you all the best as newlyweds! :o)

Dean and Lisa's Truckee getaway is perfectly situated in downtown Truckee. We took the train from the Bay Area for a birthday adventure and we walked to their place from the station. Their place is sweet and cozy and we had everything we needed! We would definitely go back again!

Dean and Lisa live upstairs and will be available during your stay for recommendations, or to provide any extras to make your stay comfortable! Dean has lived in the Truckee/Tahoe area since the mid-1980s when he came here for one winter to ski (and stayed!). Lisa moved to Truckee in 2007 after meeting Dean at Lake Tahoe. They are very active with local events and with their party and event business Elevation Hoops.
