Cozy private wool-carpeted room with a comfortable queen bed, 100 percent Egyptian cotton sheets and down pillows, private bathroom, off-street parking for two cars, access to kitchen, living room and lush garden, and Wi-Fi. Withing walking distance of downtown Mill Valley, fine dining, shopping, the famous Sweetwater Music Hall and an arts movie theater; minutes to hiking and biking trails, tennis and golf, Stinson and Muir beaches and Muir Woods, and just 20 minutes to San Francisco.
I have lived in my house, on a quiet residential street, for 30 years, and I want you to feel as at home here as I do. There's a hammock in my private, beautiful drought-tolerant, pollinator-friendly garden where you can watch hummingbirds come and go. The cozy room, with newly painted burgundy walls and new wool carpeting, features a closet and drawers for your possessions, a comfy leather chair, a generous mirror (just because), a lamp for nighttime reading, bookshelves filled with books to inspire as well as guide you to local hiking/biking trails and attractions, a cozy bed with 100 percent Egyptian cotton sheets, and a basket of healthy snacks.

Make yourself at home in the living room, dining room and kitchen — one big happy room — outside garden with dining area and double hammock, and a private bathroom with a full tub and shower. Laundry and hot tub areas are off limits, sorry, as is use of the espresso machine (but if you're up when I'm up, I am more than happy to make you a cup).

I work a typical 8 a.m.-to-6-p.m. weekday, but I will be happy to make myself available before and after if you need help, suggestions, etc. I'm just as happy to stay out of your way.
I have a tenant who lives in a small apartment under the main house. In respect to his privacy and needs, I ask that guests not be noisy or wear shoes in the house. I also recently adopted a rescue dog, Mia; she doesn't bite or bark and is very sweet but scared, so she will most likely steer clear from you and remain in her bed in a corner of the living room.
Because I have a tenant who lives in a small apartment under the main house, I ask that guest not be noisy (talk loudly, play loud music, etc.), especially before 9 a.m. and after 10 pm., or wear shoes in the house.
All dishes, glasses, etc., must be placed in the dishwasher immediately after use, and any crumbs, spills, messes be cleaned up immediately. The glass shower doors must be wiped down after use, and the bathroom counter and toilet be left as clean as you found it. Because California is in a drought, I request that you keep showers to under 4 minutes; sadly, no baths are OK right now.
No pets. No smoking. No drugs. No parties.
