“I love Lagunitas! So much so, I don't mind making the extra trek to Petaluma to visit every so often. Besides their delicious beer, they have a fun outdoor patio where you can enjoy live music (but be sure to check their calendar) as well as a very entertaining and informative tour, where they provide plenty of beer samples!”

“Central Market is a farm-to-table restaurant, housed in the 1918 Maclay building in the heart of downtown Petaluma. With rustic California-Mediterranean cuisine, their philosophy lies in finding ways to make the familiar new, combining traditional American recipes with a wine country sensibility. A visit to Central Market feels like a visit to an old friend's house, where you are welcomed warmly. Wednesday & Thursday 5-9:30 p.m. Friday & Saturday 5-10 p.m. Sunday 5-9 p.m. Closed Monday & Tuesday”

“Della Attoria Café is located in the old US Bakery building (circa 1860) in downtown Petaluma. The aromas of freshly baked pastries and breads have continuously filled the space for over 150 years. Visit this spacious and meticulously decorated cafe and enjoy delicious, wholesome food, beautifully prepared and presented. In addition to daily fresh bread and pastries, poached ranch eggs on Della toast jumpstarts a day like almost nothing else.”

“Located in downtown Petaluma, the Mystic Theatre is described by many as the North Bay’s Premier Music Venue. Built in 1911, it was originally the host to live Vaudeville entertainment and in 1992 was renovated to accommodate live music performances for up to 500 guests. With a full bar and restaurant, The Mystic is a great choice for a fun night out. The Mystic is a destination for top artists who perform in intimate venues, so plan your trip around a great act and book a stay at The Roost! ”

“Brewsters Beer Garden is located in the historic district of downtown Petaluma. Occupying an open-air dining space with over 350 seats, Brewster's cuisine is focused on technique driven dishes influenced by Southern Carolina BBQ and a smattering of locally sourced and sustainably raised Petaluma producers and ranchers. (Think southern BBQ meets California produce with a refined touch of explosive flavors.) The dining space complements the food perfectly as guests are treated to outdoor seating in a historic setting, with the comforts of large heat lamps, fire pit, bocce court, childrens playground and live music stage. Brewster's offers an array of over 30 revolving local craft beers on draft, Sonoma and Napa Valley wine, and a full selection of spirits and cocktails. Brewsters was built for people that want more than just a good meal when they eat - they want a dining experience. Laid back, kid & dog friendly, and ready to have fun. Hours Tuesday through Friday: 11:30 a.m. - close Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. - close. Closed on Monday”

“Aqus is hard to classify. It's a coffee shop, a restaurant, a jazz club, a bar and a performance venue. Owner John Crowley hails from Ireland and set out to create an Irish pub experience in Petaluma. He has succeeded in developing a gem of a community resource. It's a great place to hang out - Petaluma's shared living room, if you will. Go there anytime and strike up a conversation.”

“Since the Tea Room Café opened its doors over 15 years ago, it has been a Petaluma favorite for breakfast, lunch and Sunday brunch. Serving up bountiful breakfasts and diverse lunch fare, the Tea Room Café also features its very own in-house bakery, turning out a wide array of seasonal sweets in addition to signature favorites. Open six days a week, the Tea Room Café features ongoing exhibits by local painters, printmakers and photographers (in addition to a collection of crows and a larger-than-life cow), adding an artistic touch to the café’s lively atmosphere.”
