Grove Park Inn is a place to visit and tour the lobby. The food is pricey but worth the experience. The main building dates back to 1911 and built with local rock. It is a place where famous people came to stay and visit. It is the place for wedding portraits to be made. My daughter had hers made there 20 years ago in front of the vast 8 foot fireplaces.

They show $3. movies and we love their food. It is all fresh made. You can eat the food during the movie and drink the beers that they have on tap, like my favorite "Rocket Girl". It is great for families and the also, have a game room . It's just a great place to go.

Sightseeing
Everyone comes to Asheville to see the largest privately own house in America. It is unbelievable when you first see it. Har to imagine living in a mansion like it. The views of the mountains from the porch are amazing.

Parks & Nature
Ledges is a small very private park in Woodfin. It has a walking path, picnic tables, grills, and benches to just watch the French Broad River rush by you. A good place to meditate.

The Village is a small section of Asheville with history that is not found anywhere else. The stores are eclectic and diverse. My favorite is the New Morning Gallery which features artwork from local artists. It will take you at least an hour to see it all.

Downtown Asheville has so many interesting little small owner shops. You can find anything from: books, chocolate, antiques, spices, Renew clothes, etc.
