There are many walks through the forest along well defined tracks. The Yarra river runs through the township on its way to Melbourne. Forests, rivers and mountain views abound in this glorious region.
Ten minutes from Warburton is a stand of 1580 Sequoia redwoods that were planted in 1922 as an experiment to see if they would survive in this area. Melbourne Water undertook the planting and as you can see from the size of the trees they have thrived.Wander through the woods and enjoy nature at its best

Our local Visitor Information center also houses an art gallery, local hand made artisan crafts and an exhibition of native animals (not alive). The volunteers are very informative about the local area and can guide you to places of interest.

It is a lovely drive in summer through tall stands of Mountain Ash trees and tall tree ferns. In winter there can be quite a lot of snow, suitable for sight seeing or tobogganing.
