Beaches of Limassol

Famous for its coastline, Limassol is one of the most favored destinations for holidays. In my Guidebook "Beaches of Limassol" I will attempt to suggest some of the most popular spots. Most of these spots are located within a few meters to 5 km from "Old World Charm", along Amathountos Avenue, or " the beach road" as it is commonly known. They are all accessible by public transport, bus stop only 50 meters from my listing. An issue might be the limited and unreliable bus service. For more beach options, in Limassol or near Limassol, please talk to your host for recommendations and of what facilities to expect.
Starting from Germasogeia, only 100 metres from my listing, Old World Charm, lies a sandy, secluded beach. Enjoy the sea in the early morning hours when it is just beginning to come alive and pretty much on your own. When crowds head home for the evening, is also a great time on the beach for a late afternoon swim or just enjoy the sunset! Just cross the beach road from Old World Charm and enjoy! No lifeguard on duty.

A beloved family destination for decades, this 5 km stretch of unspoiled sands and shallow waters, runs along the east side of Akrotiri peninsula. The beach got its name from the mare of the governor during British rule, who used to ride along the beach. Facilities on the beach include sunbeds, parasols, showers, changing rooms and toilets provided by a number of restaurants in the area. Lifeguards on duty. On the minus side, the beach is not accessible by bus, unpaved road and no other shade except parasols and restaurant patios. Approx. 10 km from Old World Charm.
