Happy Jack is close to town and a great spot to visit. In the summer you can day hike, trail run or mountain bike. In the winter you can cross country ski, sled/tube, snowshoe or mountain bike on a fat tire snow set up.

Taking a drive on Highway 130 through the Snowy Range Mountains is a must! It is a beautiful drive with many spots to pull off for pictures and sightseeing. If you enjoy hiking, there are many trailheads along the way with great hiking, fishing and camping opportunities.

I grew up skiing here! It is a small local ski area that is fun and family friendly. It is an easy day outing from town. You can rent all the necessary gear at the mountain if needed.

This is a great spot to visit from Laramie for a day outing. The pools are free to the public year round. It is about 1.5 hour drive along highway 130 through the mountains to the hot springs. The highway is closed in the winter.

This is a must visit if you enjoy a little outdoor scenery. It is close to Laramie! You can make the trip as easy or challenging as you would like based on your desire for adventure when you arrive. The area is car accessible for enjoyable views and you can also hike, scramble and climb.
