This park has it all. Public beach access with bath house and concession stand. The fort is a must see for history buffs. It is a self guided tour and it is free. Observation decks allow for watching the large ships come into the port at Morehead City.

This is a shellers paradise. Between the wild horses and beaches shells are the star. The lighthouse is beautiful and still operational. This location is approximately a 45 minute drive from the townhouse but well worth the drive.

Great food. Yana’s is a true 50’s diner. They serve breakfast and lunch all day. You might have to wait for a table but the food is worth it.
