A high end diner. I always love their Eggs Florentine, but the menu is varied enough that everyone at the table is happy. Oh and their sweet potato fries are to die for. Such a pretty setting, with huge windows overlooking the Delaware. An excellent answer to hunger after your river kayaking.

Take out ice cream stand for five star burgers made from scratch. ask for a splat of Romelaude sauce on top. And the onion rings are not prefrozen!

Rent kayaks and canoes. You do not need a guide: the river is so navigable. Call for a res, put in next to Callicoon Caffe under the Callicoon bridge and float/ paddle down to Skinners Falls or further where a jitney will drive you back to your car. Magical.

This is an unbeatable hiking experience with breathtaking views of the Delaware River. The trails are clean and well maintained. (Make sure your dog is leashed, though.) Use the Lordville exit to the left off of Hwy 97, north of Callicoon.

Bouchoux Brook RoadThis is an unbeatable hiking experience with breathtaking views of the Delaware River. The trails are clean and well maintained. (Make sure your dog is leashed, though.) Use the Lordville exit to the left off of Hwy 97, north of Callicoon.
This is just the prettiest stretch of some miles of shady road along the Delaware River, where you can walk or ride your bike. Go north of the Callicoon bridge on the New York side, and park near the post office, or a quarter mile farther in where the road widens and clears for parking. A taste of serenity and maybe some bald eagle sightings.
