The Friendly Garden is a place with lots of great food trucks and a beer garden. It has a nice covered eating area, and even heaters in the winter time. Masa’s Yatai is great Japanese and Bortolotti’s has amazing pizza by the slice or whole pie, also check out Elegant Elephant for gluten free baked goods.
Also,check out Tam’s Vietnamese across the street next to the Healthy Pet, for the best Bahn Mi sandwich outside of Vietnam.

A more upscale, intimate dining experience in Eugene. Bar Purlieu is a small French inspired restaurant with fantastic cocktails, and small plates for sharing. Call ahead to make a reservation and only for parties less than 4.

Craft and Farmer’s Markets
Saturday Market is a staple of Eugene culture, bringing together local arts and craft vendors, food booths, and live music during the warmer months. There is also a wonderful farmer’s market connected to it as well. The Market is open every Saturday, around the blocks of 8th and Oak St in downtown Eugene from the first Saturday in April until mid-November. The hours are 10 AM to 4 PM.
After November, the Saturday Market moves inside at the Lane County Fair grounds and becomes Holiday Market. Holiday Market is open until Christmas Day or so.
