Purchase passes for Cadillac Mountain & Acadia National Park
A national park pass is needed for Acadia year round and a separate one for Cadillac Mountain(may 25-Oct 22). Both are available on the Acadia National Park website.

Breathtaking views await you for sunrise, sunset or anytime of day on Cadillac. Stars at night are extra special at Jordan Pond and Sand Beach. Mother nature at her best in Acadia.

Hiking shoes a must
Don't forget your hiking shoes for Acadia! The trails can be very rocky and tricky to navigate without proper footwear. Hiking boots are recommended and some trails are ok with sneakers

The rest of Mount Desert Island
Don't forget to explore the rest of Mount Desert Island. North East Harbor has some great spots & boat trips to the surrounding islands from the marina as well as Sargent Drive which has lovely homes and Southwest Harbor is a quaint village on the water. Bass Harbor Lighthouse is the only one accessible by land and is close to Thurston's Lobster Pound known for their lobster & blueberry pie!

Gorgeous Gardens!
The Thuya Gardens and the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Gardens are well worth visiting . Spectacular gardens and an experience in themselves. The Thuya Gardens are open June18-Oct 10 & the Rockefeller Gardens are open July 17-Sept 11 by reservation only (bookable online) Both are located on the North East Harbor side of the island.
