Loch Lomond is around 1hr 15 minutes away, its a beautiful place to visit. Luss is a small village on the west banks , there are boat trips, some leave from Balloch. There is also Loch Lomond Shores which is a visitor destination on the edge of the Loch, beautiful shops and restaurant.

Neighbourhoods

We stay in a small village (Juniper Green), there are a few shops and pubs. We are also at the foot of the Pentland Hills offering fabulous walks, walking from our house, you can be on the hills within 20 minutes. There is also a walkway around 5 minutes walk from the house called The Water of Leith, if you walk towards Colinton (East) you will find an Art Tunnel, it has an exciting art mural creating colourful design inside a Victorian railway tunnel. We also have a park at the end of the street which is great for children or even if you fancy a short stroll. There is a local golf course and tennis courts 5 minutes walk from our house

Transport

From our house, if you cross the road and cut through the church you will find a bus stop, the Number 44 goes to the city centre and runs around every 10 minutes, less frequent in the evenings and at the weekend. Takes around 25 minutes. There are also numerous taxi companies, City Black Cabs: 0131 228 1211, uber also works well in Edinburgh. The nearest train station is Haymarket, the 44 bus takes you there in around 20 minutes, not all trains leave from Haymarket, Waverly station is in the centre of Edinburgh and is the main station. The Bus station is at the East of Edinburgh.
