Favorite spots - basically all. Diamond Mills recently changed to the BLACKBARN Hudson Valley has lovely outdoor seating and a view of the waterfalls. Rock the Casbah has a great fun vibe and great staff. Dutch Ale House, Miss Lucy's, Salt and Fire are know for their excellent menu. Main Street for great Mexican. The Partition is a seasonal place and great if your dog needs an evening out. New to town are The Town Cafe (open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m) and Buddha Bowl. Stella's and the Exchange are local hangouts and offer nice menus. Try ALL the coffee shops (all are dog friendly). Several ice cream spots - make sure you try Alleyway. Two great chocolate shops. The bookstore is a favorite place especially if you are entertaining children. The Theatre is definitely a must see. Keep in mind all of these are within walking distance of the house. Of course we have pizza shops, Chinese and Dallas Hot Dogs for fast food/carryout. Many other restaurants are within a 2-3 mile drive and worth the effort.
