Cute coffee place. You can sometimes find a spot to work/read/study. There is a bench or two in the back to sip your coffee. Their Verdun cafe has more space. If they have their carrot cake, make sure to eat some!!

My sister told me this place is great. It's a real experience - no AC and spicy food. Bring your bathing suit because you will sweat. Can't wait to try it.

An institution in SW Montreal. Tbh, I have not eaten there, but many people do. You will probably get a good greasy breakfast for a good price. Think of it as an experience Montreal in the 1990s. Similar vibe to Beauty's in the Plateau.

Nice for stroll. Get your coffee at Faro or any other café nearby. Stroll by the overpriced veggies and fruits. It is only worth buying seasonal and local produce only if the price is reasonable (you can find local and seasonal at Super C for a very good price). Le Marché des Douceurs is always fun to go in, you will likely find a fun ingredient to cook with or a delicious snack from Italy. The same lady owns Mamma Mia Pizzeria - great place for empanadas, foccacias, pizza, panzerroti, calzones, cronuts, macarons. Première Moissan has great sweets for breakfast.
During the summer, you will find many kiosks for a quick bite. Try Satay Brothers (you must eat the buns).
