Salmon River Falls is absolutely gorgeous during all 4 seasons of the year. There is a nice nature trail to the top of the falls, stairs and trail to the lower falls and a couple Lookout areas.

Sandy Pond and Lake Ontario are a quick 10 minute drive away that can be enjoyed all year! Relaxing beach day in the summer and excellent ice fishing in the winter.

One of my most favorite places to visit is the reservoir. If you enjoy outdoorsy sportsman activities the reservoir is perfect! Year round fishing, swimming, boating, snowmobiling, hiking, hunting, the list is endless!

If you enjoy shopping, Destiny shopping mall is approximately 40 minutes south located in Syracuse. Definitely a fun day trip with the best retail stores, restaurants, activity venues, and theater.

The Mill House is one of my favorite places to grab a soup and sandwich. They also have fresh baked goods daily. Local vendors also sell homemade soaps, jewelry, apothecary items and much more.

Ld's is one of my favorites in the summer and fall for the outdoor seating overlooking the Salmon River. The nachos are amazing and the southwest salad is the best!

The Richland Hotel is located a quarter mile from our lodging. If you like burgers, wings, or beer, Crystal (the owner) will hook you up! Honestly everything on the menu is great. The sports games are always on and 50 cent wings on Sunday is my favorite!

Richland is a small quiet and friendly town. We were once a roaring community when the Train Station brought threw travelers and cargo but today we are a small residential community. Our main local business is the Circle K Gas Station and Deli. We do however have a small Post Office, Fire Department, Salon, Bar and Grill, Church and Playground.
