A gem of civic architecture. I want to weep when I enter here it's such a nurturing space.

After 14 years in Crouch End I still haven't been here. But it's a well-known venue for alternative comedy, music, pub quizzes and music. Maybe one of my Airbnb guests will get me there....

..is a local landmark. Has a lovely park surrounding it where you can take a walk including a railway path to Muswell Hill giving panoramic views of London. Plus, the Palace hosts popular events.

This restaurant has the best cooking in Crouch End - look no further. There are a lot of restaurants here but not too many that are really high quality. This one is.

This cafe is another well-known spot on the Crouch End landscape. Maybe past its heyday but not as pretentious as some and worth trying. Staff are very pleasant.

This cafe is in Hornsey High Street so not in Crouch End proper. However, iIt's a great. unpretentious, reasonably priced place for lunch and worth the walk down Middle Lane.

It is a 20 minute walk from the flat. Admire the Georgian buildings and the cute shops and, to refuel, pop into Le Pain Quotidien which has a garden at the rear where you can sit outside.
