Food Scene

Beautiful outdoor restaurant in a garden. This is a healthy, clean, fresh spot: food is prepared/presented like any nice restaurant in North America. Great wait staff. Everything is fresh/local. Our favorite spot near the house for to take friends for dinner. Order the "pollo especial!"...its rarely on the menu but they ALWAYS have it. Half a chicken, surrounded by vegetables, covered with a butter lemon broth and baked in the wood fired pizza oven...I get it every time.

This is our go to carnitas taco spot. 20 pesos per taco ($1'ish USD). Just walk in and say "dos tacos por favor" and sit down...they'll do the rest. We eat here 3-5 times a week and its often our guests favorite food experience.

Great fish tacos and ceviche at the beach. Nice vibe/outdoor spot. Cool bar as well. This is a great pre/post surf stop. Tables in the sand. Most staff here speak decent English.

late lunch/dinner spot. This is one of the more expensive spots to eat and drink. French owners. French inspired menu. The food is very good and VERY well presented....it could compete with any restaurant in North America for presentation. Good wood fired pizza. Nice place to go for sunset as the tables look out over Cerritos beach.

Good coffee spot. GREAT scones. Sundays there's a farmers market/artisan fair here...which is fun but can also mean your coffee takes a bit longer. Service isn't super fast but vibes are good. Lots of parking avail. Dog friendly. Open 7 days a week 7am-7pm.

Getting Around

Rent your car here. Heads up there's NO way to get out of paying the Mexico Insurance fee which is $30-50 USD per day and likely is NOT on the online quote you received. Just pay it, you're driving on lots of dirt/bumpy roads in Baja, its good to be protected.
