Their Flamkuchen (a German pizza) are delicious and lunch times the food is half price. I can get a Flamkuchen and a pint of German pilsener for about £8 !!

It was/ is a salvage business where they've decided to open a restaurant and bar using their fascinating old items for sale as decoration :) They have a 2 course set lunch for £18 or just go to the bar and try their delicious ham hock and comte cheese muffin with a glass of beer or wine. It's really good.

A unique bar which re-uses the props used in the Vaults theatre productions. And the foods good too.
They also have a cosy theatre downstairs and are currently offering a lunchtime pie and a pint and a show for £10, during the week. And also have life models on a Saturday afternoon if drawing / painting is your thing.

Some great theatre here located at an interesting location under Waterloo Station. A lot of theatre starts here before moving onto the West End. And it's a 15 minute walk away.

Literally up our street, Damian Hursts gallery has some very modern art exhibitions and a really nice (although pricey) bar and restaurant.

I picked up a dark green vintage 70's jacket for £25 !!!
I also buy presents for Kerri there. Stock is always changing and prices are also rising a little. But still worth a look, local residents Joanna Lumley and Florence Welch are known to fossick there.

Getting Around
Car rental is fine if you want to drive into the countryside. But it's not if you want to do London, you are better off on public transport. Living so close to everything we walk :)

The busiest station in the UK and perfect for a train to the seaside :) And for the enthusiast they also have old steam trains leaving from there in summer and finishing by the coast. Perfect for a weekend away

This cinema shows classic old films that have been restored. They also often have directors / scriptwriters doing Q&A's. We've seen things from 1950's French film noir to classic English cinema.
