The Mickelson Trail runs right through Custer (nearly across the street from this house) but for a full experience, drive 10 minutes to Sylvan Lake or 15 minutes to Legion Lake for hiking, camping, rock climbing, swimming, non-motorized watercraft rental, and endless exploring...each features its own lodge and restaurant, too.
