Chillingworth road is a jewel in the Christchurch dining scene and is a must visit.
There is a choice of a 5,7 or 9 course menu where Chef Darren Wright creates amazing dishes for you. It is always a surprise what you are served and an incredible culinary journey. You will not be disappointed!

Delicious dumplings, bao buns, cocktails or a beer. Very cost effective, young, fun and vibrant. One minute walk from the apartment. There are a number of great bars/restaurants in this laneway. A must visit and one of our new favourites!

A Champagne Bar- what more do I need to say?? Also delicious wine, great menu, very comfortable and a one minute walk. This laneway is a new Christchurch secret. Mid day or mid night- just go.
Also look out for the Red light district bar next door. So secret that there is not even a sign and I cant find a listing for this guide. It is hidden behind the laundromat sign in the Laneway! Secret spot!!!

Walk through the square or stroll along the river. Perhaps on your way to the city mall precinct. Even more fun on the free bikes that can be found over the road from the apartment. Just stroll or cycle around the central city.

Great short day trip. Restaurants, cafes. Swim with the endangered Hectors dolphins or just cruised to watch them. Well worth the drive. Around 2 hours each way.

I just love the Kaikoura coast, 2.5 hours north of Christchurch- it is supremely rugged and beautiful. Visit the seals at the colony in Kaikoura or just stop on the side of the road and search for seals yourself. If you are lucky you will see dolphins off shore.
The kaikoura coast is one of the iconic coastal drives in New Zealand.

The views from the summit roads of Banks Peninsula are stunning. Stroll on the iconic hillsides or drop down into a peaceful and secluded bay of your choice. Take a picnic or stop at Little River or Akaroa. Meander and you will find your own secret spot. The peninsula is a brilliant day trip from Christchurch.
I am very fond of the Peninsula and I am sure that you will enjoy this special area.
