Koutavos is a lagoon situated to the southeast of the bay of Argostoli. Its shape is ellipsoid, its length reaches 6.5 km and its area is 1300 acres. It is a wetland with rich flora and fauna (swans, wild ducks, seagulls, etc.). Its shallowness characterized it as particularly dangerous in the past (before the bridge was built) due to its marshy nature. Many mosquitoes and mosquitoes made it dangerous for human health, which was a problem for the residents of the surrounding villages who wanted to visit Argostoli.Today, Koutavos is a tourist attraction but also a breath of greenery for the city of Argostoli, which is deprived of greenery. It is therefore a small green paradise very close

An attraction that offers with its beauty tranquility and relaxation to the visitor, the Napier's Garden. It is an elevated tree-lined park with a variety of plants and trees in the interior of Argostoli. The name that bears the park is in honor of the English commander who offered a lot of infrastructure in the 19th century on the island. Here is a hero. Many events take place in this park, which was reconstructed after the earthquake and is suitable for walks even during the night hours of illumination.

Agios Georgios Castle is built over the village of Peratata on a hill about 300 m high and is located 5 km from the capital of Kefalonia, Argostoli. It was probably built in the 12th Century by the Byzantine Emperors. It is a remarkable Venetian castle with later major Venetian interventions of the 16th century that dominate the southern part of Kefalonia and the bay of Argostoli. The castle was the capital of Kefalonia until 1757 when it became the new capital of Argostoli. In recent years maintenance works have taken place and the castle has recovered much of its old glory. Its outer walls, which are still preserved, were built in 1504 by the Venetians.

Its construction in 1813 pleased the inhabitants of the island, which for them had a great advantage in terms of their travels and the avoidance of Kunava, which was a home of malaria and death.Originally, it was a wooden structure that, after the leveling of the Metela hill, became a stone. A Unique geological phenomenon, the Melissani lagoon is located 2 km northwest of Sami. The natural entrance of the cave is vertical (40x50 m) and was created by the fall of a section of the roof. However, there is also an artificial staircase that allows a visit to the cave. The cave was discovered by John Petrocheilos in 1951. The lake is 20 m below the ground, it is about 160 m long and the water has a depth of 10 m to 40 m.
