Louisville & New Albany are known for their food scenes & we absolutely love it!
Go here for delicious smoked meats and scratch made sides. The loaded tots + smoked pork is one of our favorite menu items here. We love sharing an order as the main course! The draft beer list is always great and they are known for their bourbon slushies. Ordering and service is at the front counter. Vegetarian, gluten-free, and soy-free options are available, but there are no true vegan options.

This new spot offers some of our favorite Mexican food in the city! And it's a very quick walk from our home. The portions are generously sized (be ready to take some home with you!) and the food is delicious. Their Queso is a must order and definitely try out their house made sauces on each table with your meal!

Parks & Nature
This park is perfect for the kid in us all and it's so close by! There's a beautiful brand new playground and splash pad, small skate park, park tables with pavilions, lush soccer fields, basketball courts, and a small paved walking loop.

This is our family's favorite park! Designed by Wilhelm Olmsted (the brilliant mind behind NYC's Central Park), this place is gorgeous in every detail. If you enjoy a scenic run or parks in general, this is a must-see!

There are two playgrounds to choose from, a beautiful 2.5 mile paved loop with rolling hills, and exciting foot trails that criss-cross the park. If you enjoy a scenic run or parks in general, this is a must-see!
This extended paved path connects the cities of New Albany, Clarksville, and Jeffersonville and is perfect for runners, cyclists, and walkers. It’s an 8 minute walk from our home – simply walk towards the Ohio River by heading southwest down Silver Street. Silver Street will end where it meets up with Market Street and you will notice a paved road to your left. It is unmarked, but this connects directly to the Ohio River Greenway. There are also places to park if you prefer to drive. I use the Greenway every day and absolutely love it and its proximity to our home.

It has a nice, looped trail with lovely views of the marshlands, Ohio River, and Silver Creek. The trail is not difficult or long, so it’s a great activity for kids and adults alike.
The Big Four is a walking bridge that links Louisville Waterfront Park to Jeffersonville, Indiana over the Ohio River. The falls are fun to see, especially when the river is moderately high. There is a small and thoughtfully put together museum at the park as well. When the river is low, you can walk onto fossil beds - a delightfully memorable activity, especially for kids. The Ohio River Greenway runs through the park, so this is also an area where it is easy to access the paved path for walking, biking, etc.

This newly renovated and expanded art museum is one of my favorite places in Louisville! There's always some cool event going on at The Speed. Bonus: admission is free to the public every Sunday!
