Therefore the retired stock broker with a passion for food offers only a tiny menu and you have to bring your own booze. Her lamb chops are legendary. My favorite is Mentaiko Pasta with fish roe. This bar is actually a vintage furniture store run by one of the pioneers of Thonglor. Very rough around the edges, very relaxed, totally charming, and punk. Tucked away in an old town house in a small alley off Thonglor (Thonglor Soi18). Take a cab or motorcycle or taxi from Thonglor.

The hotel is located on Sathorn Road (take the skytrain!). Vertigo (dining) and Moon Bar (lounging) are on the top of the building, 61st floor, with awesome, vertigo-inducing views over Bangkok.
