Delightful Francie’s with great wood fired pizzas on Griffith st. Well worth a visit! Probably the best in Cooly and it gets very busy so get in early for eat in or takeout!

If you like your Yum Cha (or Dim Sum), then this is your place! In Metro shopping centre at Southport. Worth the drive for yumcha, and do some shopping while you’re there.

On the Griffith st side of The Strand Shopping Centre, this cafe has great coffee and brunch options. Street tables or inside seating.

Activities
Take a bike, rollerblade or walk along Coolangatta beach pathway either north or south. The ‘ocean way’ pathway goes from the border of QLD/NSW and goes north for a further 25+kilometres. Its a great day out.
From Coolangatta beach going south, head towards Dbah (as the locals know it, or Duringbah) where the Tweed river meets the ocean - and continue around to Jack Evans beach park or further to Terranora river inlet there are great headland and river views.
Heading north, you can stay on the path along the beachfronts all the way towards Currumbin and beyond to Burleigh Heads and Surfers Paradise.
Travel along the pathway past playgrounds, parks, beaches, and beautiful scenery.

Our son loves browsing libraries and this place is no exception with comfortable chairs and kids area as well as adults :-)

Barefoot bowls for the whole family is just 5mins walk from Ocean Plaza.
This is fun for
kids and families as well as groups alike to be
barefoot on the bowling
greens. They also have a
decent Chinese restaurant
onsite.

We love our local beach.
Because, … it has 2 surf lifesaving patrolled swimming areas, has one of the longest surf breaks in the world (from Snapper Rocks to Cooly), and has wonderful playgrounds at the park!
