One of the best Vegan and Veggie restaurants nearby. We eat here most often. You can still get biscuits and gravy. You can still get meat here. Also, they have a rotating art on the walls.

I have completed many paintings here. They have the best Masala Chai in town! And you can purchase very rare teas here. It can be very busy here but there is always a comfy couch available or the outside garden area.

Holy moly! You can walk here from my house. They turned an old school into a many-roomed hotel with art covering the walls. McMenamins is a hotel and bar chain that is Grateful Dead Themed! Does it get any cooler than that? They make their own beers and wines, have a soaking pool, gardens, and secret rooms hidden throughout the property. also...shuffle board anyone?

Reserve about 4 hours to get lost in this place. It is an entire city block with 4 stories of books and a cafe! You can find anything here, also tons of used options.

OMG this place sooo beautiful. It is located up in the West hills and has a perfectly framed Mt. Hood selfie spot at the top of the stairs by the tennis courts than overlooks the city. Go there starting around May and the flowers will be starting to bloom.

400 SW Kingston AveOMG this place sooo beautiful. It is located up in the West hills and has a perfectly framed Mt. Hood selfie spot at the top of the stairs by the tennis courts than overlooks the city. Go there starting around May and the flowers will be starting to bloom.
This park is so amazing and you get really fantastic views. It sits on an extinct caldera, but you wouldn't know it. If you are in the Hawthorne area, you should stop by a food cart a take lunch to go to have a little picnic up there. Or watch the sun set over the city. My favorite bench in all of Portland is up there.

2219 SE Lincoln StThis park is so amazing and you get really fantastic views. It sits on an extinct caldera, but you wouldn't know it. If you are in the Hawthorne area, you should stop by a food cart a take lunch to go to have a little picnic up there. Or watch the sun set over the city. My favorite bench in all of Portland is up there.
This is the place you go to walk up and down the streets to look for awesome little vintage shops, buy a gift, gawk at the hippies. You know, typical Portland stuff.

Best Hike within an hour of Portland. go up to Twister Falls. It is about 4 miles in. Prepare to be on this trail all day. You will see the most beautiful falls along the way, amazing ferns, wildlife and nature.
