Right next door to the apartment building (to the right) - has good pastries, coffee, sandwiches and prepared food and is affordable.

Great view and big pitchers of sangria and beer. Walk down to riverside park (down 72nd street, to the west), go down the steps to get to the river/pathway and then make a left and walk a few blocks south. You’ll see a big pier and the restaurant is on the left.

My absolute favorite brunch/breakfast place in the world. It’s been around forever/is an institution. There’s one on 80th and Amsterdam but also locations throughout Manhattan. Make a reservation for a weekend or go on a weekday morning.
