After visiting Valletta, stop here for a ftira - a maltese bread speciality somewhat like a pizza and a glass of wine. Genuine traditional food.
PS One ftira will probably feed two ;) Enjoy it!

If you're in Mdina, try to get lucky and find a table on the terrace overlooking a view of half of Malta. They also have inside tables with a view for a rainy or windy day.

When it comes to Maltese food, this is one of the best. It is in a narrow alley just off Bisazza street. Specials change every day and are well priced - we always try these and we highly recommend you do too. Busy in the weekend all the year round so phone ahead to book. Great for winter evenings!

Sightseeing
Lots of places to view here depending on your tastes. Lose yourself walking about from one side overlooking Sliema and Marsamxett harbour, to the other side overlooking the Grand Harbour and the Three cities. However, St John's Cathedral and the view from the Barrakka are not to be missed.

Much of this walled town was flattened in WW2, but there are still sights to see especially down by the waterfront. Great views over the harbour and a decent number of places to eat and drink too.

Small sandy beach but the rocky shore beneath Triq it-Torri all the way towards Sliema is very popular with the locals. The shore below where Triq Stella Maris meets Triq it-Torri is the Blue Flag Beach "Fond Ghadir" with water quality which meets the highest European standards as well as a lifeguard.
