Fascinating rock formations and the famous Fingal's Cave can be explored on Staffa on a day trip from Oban. This is my absolutely favourite day trip, I can't recommend it enough!

This island is situated just across from Oban Bay but feels like you are miles away. A 7mile circular walk is topped off with lunch at the Tea Garden or take your own picnic to have at the rugged ruins of Gylen Castle. This is a must do when in Oban!
