Fantastic atmosphere for Tex-Mex near the river. Stop by after tubing for a (neon green) agave wine margarita and some good eats. The Hut is always packed with locals, but they seat you quickly and it always enhances the atmosphere!

San Marcos has approx. 15 pizza places, we're a college town!
This is far and away the best one! Inventive and made with local ingredients, you can get a whole pie or by-the-slice. You don't go to a pizza place for the salads - but theirs are incredible.

Right down the road from us, this is a great spot for a morning or evening hike and picnic.

Great starting point for your trip to the river. Lots of free parking, you can drop in your own tubes from here, or rent some from the Lions Club on site!
P.S. its 2 bucks a tube to air up your own!
