If you like walking/hiking definitely come here. It takes maybe less than an hour to reach the top or a little longer if strolling and stopping to take plenty pictures.
If you enjoy trail running, this is the best place to come for a city trail run.

Lovely botanical gardens to walk around if you enjoy the outdoors & nature. It has a couple of nice cafes too. Stockbridge village is nearby which has lots of lovely independent shops, cafes & restaurants

Lovely small village feel with many independent shops, cafes & restaurants. It is an access point to the Water of Leith which is a lovely walkway/footpath through the city following the Water of Leith. From here you can walk from Stockbridge about a mile or 2 in West direction to reach Dean Village which has lovely views of historic buildings in that small city area.

Lovely small village feel with many independent shops, cafes & restaurants. It is an access point to the Water of Leith which is a lovely walkway/footpath through the city following the Water of Leith. From here you can walk from Stockbridge about a mile or 2 in West direction to reach Dean Village which has lovely views of historic buildings in that small city area.
City centre scenic footpath that follows a small waterway to Leith that you can walk along and it has lovely views. Can be very peaceful.
