Restaurants / Bars / Pubs

My personal fave! Fantastic food, reasonably priced and authentic Spanish atmosphere. More often than not a wait for a table (and for good reason) so get there early and have a drink at the bar!

If you take a walk along Chorlton Ees you might stumble upon this hidden gem which is always good for a stop off for liquid refreshments. A traditional cosy riverside pub with open fires in the winter and lots of outdoor seating for the summer. The most direct route from Chorlton Green is to follow the public footpath at the bottom of Brookburn Road which will bring you out opposite the pub (5 -10 min walk).

This is the closest park, just off St Werberghs Road. Perfect for walking or jogging with a fitness trail. Handy cut through also to Marks and Spencer (supermarket).
This nature reserve can be accessed from the bottom of Beech Road, just opposite the Bowling Green pub. Lovely riverside walk which branches out for miles in either direction along the River Mersey. Why not extend a walk around Chorlton Ees and visit Sale Water Park. 5 - 10 minutes walk from Jackson's Boat. Have a nice stroll round the lake and maybe refreshments at the Waterside restaurant which overlooks the lake. Watersports also available here.

Whilst not on the doorstep, this beautiful area can be visited by hiring a bike and cycling along the Ees to Stretford and then along the Bridgewater Canal (1.5 hours cycle). Stunning country Hall with tea rooms and park with wild deer. The local village of Dunham is also a must see and why not visit Heath Farm for local fresh farm produce.
