Colmar is a medieval town known as the capital of Alsatian vine. For over 70 years they've held and annual vine fair with a festival that attracts famous international acts ranging from Deep Purple to Snoop Dog. They also have a replica of the Statue of Liberty since its sculptor, Auguste Bartholdy was born there.

For over 70 years they've held and annual vine fair with a festival that attracts famous international acts ranging from Deep Purple to Snoop Dog. They also have a replica of the Statue of Liberty since its sculptor, Auguste Bartholdy was born there.
Mittelbergheim is a great place to start your alsatian vineyard journey. It is an idyllic village completely surounded by vineyards which produce some of the regions most exquisit wines. The beauty and nature of the village makes it one of the most beautiful villages in France (it is a member of the "Les plus beaux villages de France" association).

Mittelbergheim is a great place to start your alsatian vineyard journey. It is an idyllic village completely surounded by vineyards which produce some of the regions most exquisit wines. The beauty and nature of the village makes it one of the most beautiful villages in France (it is a member of the "Les plus beaux villages de France" association).

Activities

This amusement park is only 5 km from Le Hohwald and is sitting in the middle of the forest. There you'll be able to try accrobranche (getting from tree to tree via platforms, ropes and ziplines), bungee jumping, paintball, archery and all kinds of other fun games and activities for the whole family.

This natural park is home to over 240 monkeys running wild and enjoying the Vosges mountain features. You can get close to them and watch them get on with their monkey lifestyle. Just be careful with your belongings, they really like shiny things!

Just besides the monkey park is the eagle park where you can watch shows of majestic eagles flying over the mountains and ruins.

Mont Sainte-Odile is named after Saint Odile of Alsace and is a roman catholic chapel perched in the Vosges mountain range. In addition to the beautiful chapel and holy athmosphere you'll be able to see above all of Alsace and on sunny days up to the Black Forest. Food is also available at their own restaurant.

The museum is the most visited in Alsace. It houses a broad range of important works by the likes of Grünewald, Schongauer, Holbein, Picasso, Dubuffet, Léger, Baselitz, Dix and many others. The building was renovated and extended by swiss star architects Herzog & De Meuron in 2015.
