You can't come to Edinburgh and not visit the castle! If you aren't into history and don't fancy paying to go inside, its free to visit the esplanade. A great place to get a photo with the castle in the background.

A much shorter walk than Arthur seat but still very rewarding views of the city center. Recently the Lookout cafe has opened up at the top which I have heard to be great for a nice meal.

Princes Street gardens runs along Edinburgh's main shopping street. If the weather is nice, its a great place to sit and watch the world go by.

If you love Gin like me you will love going to visit Edinburgh gins distillery. It will amaze you how small it is! The staff that take the tour are highly knowledgeable and will go through the history of gin as well as of course giving you some samples.

There is something for everyone here. You could easily spend the whole day walking through all the different exhibits. My favorite from a young age has always been the wildlife and natural history section. Added bonus, its free entry.

Stockbridge has always been known for its independent shops, cafes and restaurants. There is even a weekly market on Sundays where vendors sell a mixture of food, gifts, jewelry and even dog treats! Its always very popular.

In my option the best seafood restaurant in the city. The food always comes out fast and it is very reasonably priced.

I have never had a bad meal here. The food is exceptional! Things that you never thought you liked become your favorite food. Its obvious they use highest quality ingredients and the staff are so friendly which is always a big plus.

Always fresh, great tasting food here. There is often queues right out the door, so you have to be willing to wait.

The best Scottish full breakfast! Everything is a bit quirky here, with the menus in old magazines and none of the china matching. Its slightly off the shores main eating street but this doesn't make it quiet, so maybe consider booking.
