All Bar One is opposite our apartment so is a close place to pop across the road for a breakfast, lunch and even a bit to eat in the evening. If its warm enough to sit outside - its a nice relaxing atmosphere looking onto the square outside the Sheraton. The also have good deals early evening for cocktails or bottle of fizz

This is a great place to eat if you are big group as they have plenty of room to put tables together. Not far from the apartment great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. A menu that every one would like and an easy going atmosphere for all ages, very child friendly.

This place has a buzzy atmosphere and a great selection of interesting tapas style 'greek' and mediterranean dishes.

There are a few Oink places to pop into for lunch - although they don't have many seats inside - so better as a take away. Simply do pulled pork in a roll with apple sauce and crackling - all I can say is WOW - so tasty. There is also one 3/4 way down the royal mile.

This summer the Bistro have been offering a 3 course menu with a cocktail for just £23 per person. My husband and I enjoyed a table at the window looking over St. Andrews Square and across to the Castle. The sun was setting so it was a stunning location and the food was delicious.

My husband and I enjoyed a table at the window looking over St. Andrews Square and across to the Castle. The sun was setting so it was a stunning location and the food was delicious.
My other favourite Indian is - Mother India because they give you small but tasty Indian dishes. Should book though as it is always busy.

A fantastic Indian restaurant that also happens to be Vegan and Vegetarian. So don't be put off because its Vegetarian and Vegan - still one of my favourite Indian restaurants.

I like Howie's Waterloo Place but this is closer to the apartment . There are a few Howies in Edinburgh and I have always loved their food. They also have a BYO on wine if you felts you had a special bottle you wanted to take for a special occasion.
