Rector's Palace is a palace in Dubrovnik was built as the seat of government and residence of the prince the most political office in the Republic of Dubrovnik .
The rector was elected for a term of one month and during this time he was the head of Chamber.The Duke's palace prince had his own office and the apartment where he was staying during the term of office,separated from their families.At the entrance is a Latin inscription "Obliti privatorum publica curate"("Forget private and worry for the public" ) .
