For peopel who love nature and walking tours. Here my best tips which for a great tour which I always do with my guests. Best view over vienna! Best local food in "Heurige"
Tour 1: U4 till Heiligenstadt, 38a till Kahlenberg, take a coffe with the best view. Start walking downhill (you cant miss the trail or ask peopel). During the warm season you will finde many "Heurige" on your way where you can try the best asutrian vines and snacks. You will reach Kahlenbergdort after a 30 Min walk and you can continue walking to Nussdorf (10 Min) and have a great austrian Dish in Gasthaus "Renner" (watch closing days!). Renner is famous for all austrian dishes in a traditional atmosphere of inside or outside and a fair price and large portions (maybe share one :)).
Tour 2 is a bit more walking: Start U4 Spittelau, change to tram D to Nussdorf. Start walking up hill "Philosophenweg" (you will see a map for the bigger tour at the station). you can decide to take a short cut on the hill and walk over Kahlenberg back downhill or to walk uphill till Kahlenberg and than the same way down as tour1. In Nussdorf is the Gasthaus "Renner" which I highly recommend.
Also possible to do everything without walking and take the bus 38a up and downhill :) or only Strassenbahn D to Nussdorf to eat at Renner :)

The opera is a place to b, even if yo cant afford a ticket!

Of course you shouldnt miss and having time for a walk in the beautiful garden of Schloss Schönbrunn!
Belvedere ist the second biggest castel (close to Juchgasse) and also really beautiful. But Schönbrunn is much bigger.

Its my absolutly favorite austrian kitchen restaurant. Traditional dishes (also vegetarian), hand and fresh made and not expensive! Best vine, make sure you book before going there (Call the number or come with time :))

Saturday traditional marketday. An international flair and taisty healthy fast food all around. Make sure you are there early enough to get the real local flair of 16. district Ottakring. Yppenplatz has becoming a bit hip in the last years, also great at afternoon or evening for snacks, bars and beer.
