In 1890, the former city of Saint Henri acquired some land adjacent to Saint Antoine Street to create a small public park. It would become the first public park in Saint Henri.
The square is surrounded by Victorian row houses and triplexes which were built for members of the local elite.
A commission for a monument to the French explorer Jacques Cartier was made shortly thereafter to Quebec sculptor Joseph-Arthur Vincent. In 1893, this statue was installed in the centre of the square. It was designed by Joseph-Arthur Vincent and was unveiled in 1893. It stands 9 metres (30 ft) tall and was made of cast iron.
In the 1990s, the Cartier statue was replaced with a replica.

The hill is part of the Monteregian Hills situated between the Laurentians and the Appalachian Mountains. It gave its Latin name, Mons Regius, to the Monteregian chain. The hill consists of three peaks: Colline de la Croix (or Mont Royal proper) at 233 m (764 ft), Colline d'Outremont (or Mount Murray, in the borough of Outremont) at 211 m (692 ft), and Westmount Summit at 201 m (659 ft) elevation above mean sea level.

Atwater Market is a farmers' market located in the Saint-Henri area of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It opened in 1933. The interior market is home to many butchers and the Première Moisson bakery and restaurant. The outside market has many farmers stalls which sell both local and imported produce, as well as two cheese stores, a wine store specialising in locally produced spirits and a fish store. Quality is usually very good, although bargains are quite rare.

It is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. It accepts groups by appointment any time of the week. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children, seniors and people in groups of five or more. You can email the museum at: info@moeb.ca

This restaurant has a very nostalgic story, it was a dream of the owners: Mackenzie Snow, 28, and sister-in-law Jessica Starnino, 38.
Their pride and joy is called La Luncheonette, a modestly furnished but spotlessly clean soup, sandwich and salad shop at 4271 St-Jacques St. W. in St-Henri.
They’re there morning, noon and night on weekdays, doing everything from cleaning to cooking, and couldn’t be happier.
Snow, who studied at the LaSalle College culinary school and worked in local restaurants and on food trucks since her teens, was the instigator of the project.
She remembers the location from her childhood, when it was known as Perroquet Violet...

The Canada Malting complex was designed by David Jerome Spence (fr), and was built in 1904. On the west side of the complex there are nine violet colored silos.
In May, 2005, as part of the Obselescences event, and to celebrate the one-hundredth anniversary of the edifice's founding, lighting artist Axel Mongenthaler created a light show by mounting several lights on the rooftop of the building.
In 2011, Quebec artist Ian Langohr created a mask inspired by the factory. Langohr created the mask from bits of plastic, rubber and metal found on the streets or in the dark corners of Saint-Henri hardware stores, using techniques he picked up working in a mascot production company.
